This-gen Gaming Consoles - If you can, continue to hold off.

With the "confirmed rumor" of the upcoming Xbox 360 Elite and the difficulty getting a Wii, it may still be best just to hold off a couple of more months.

While the oldtimers and more hardcore gamers may lean to the PS3, it is loosing ground to the Wii which may mean game developers will aim for the bigger audience. Plus the promised backwards compatibility is hit or miss. Anyway, the number of games available is still relatively low. No bandwagon to jump on yet.
