iRate Apple seeks halt to iGasm ads
Apple is understandably miffed at what it feels is the blatant misuse of its iPods, not to mention a rip off of its own silhouette ads. What raised Apple’s hackles is a device that it would definitely not want iPods to be associated with. And an ‘i’ in front of the product name has only precipitated matters.
British sex shop chain Ann Summers is hawking something called the iGasm, a device that plugs into an iPod and vibrates in sync with the beat of whatever music is playing. The neon-pink posters depict an underwear-clad female silhouette holding an oval white device with two cables - one connected to a pair of white headphones, the other heading down toward the female's knickers.

Now, no prize for guessing what iGasm is used for!
A News of the World report claims Apple is furious about Ann Summer's promotion of the device, and is demanding all posters for the gadget be taken down, under threat of court action. Apple claims the ad is an abuse of the silhouette-based images it uses in its own advertising
Ann Summers hasn't bowed to Apple's threats, the report explains.
