Watch TV while on the move with MobiTV
Fans of portable TV have many choices today and MobiTV is one of them.
Now it’s time to get off the couch, leave the house, and watch some television, for MobiTV is here. MobiTV bills itself as “leading the convergence of television, film, and music across the mobile and broadband markets.”
MobiTV is the biggest provider of video services for cellular subscribers. When you launch MobiTV, you have to wait for the application to authenticate to your cellular provider’s servers to verify that you are, in fact, authorized for a mobile TV experience. Authorization can take as long as 20 seconds, so a modicum of patience while you wait is required.
Once MobiTV loads, you’re presented with the channel guide or the channel you were watching when you last exited the application, depending on which screen you were last at. Small logos are displayed so that it's easy to pick out the channel you’re looking for. The guide only goes 90 minutes into the future, so if you’re riding the bus and wondering what’s going to be on MobiTV when you get off work, you are out of luck!
The channel lineup varies by provider (and by country — MobiTV also offers service in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and the UK) and consists of programming from NBC, ESPN, the Discovery family of networks, FOX, and many others.

MobiTV is generally priced around $9.99 per month, but that price may vary depending on the cellular carrier.
