Solid State Drives from PNY and SanDisk

Backed by a vast NAND flash IP portfolio and operational excellence, SanDisk enables OEMs, ODMs, integrators and users to take advantage of a superb product offering

SanDisk offers top of the line solid state drives (SSD) designed to drive the shift of mobile PC users from the hard disk drive to flash.
SanDisk 1.8-inch 64GB UATA 5000 and 2.5-inch 64GB SATA 5000 SSD products deliver far superior durability and power efficiency to keep mobile PCs working to the maximum in the toughest of the conditions.

Meanwhile, PNY announced a 2.5-inch 128GB SSD, with read speeds of 66MBps, which will however be available only towards the third quarter of 2007.

With SanDisk planning to offer up 64GB engineering samples in Q3, mass production is scheduled for year end.

Mobile PC users have a dual benefit - from an enhanced overall experience and from a reduced total cost of ownership (TCO).
