Microsoft setting its sight on the household

Windows Vista seems to be already passé as Microsoft is reportedly setting its sight on Windows kitchen client in order to make it a part of the decor of every room in a household.

Not even half a year into it, Microsoft seems to be looking beyond Windows Vista. The Redmond Companies has purportedly set its sight homeward and is focusing on the Windows kitchen client.

Well, it’s mere speculation at this point, with unconfirmed sources and Microsoft not forthcoming about plans to customize the Windows operating system to make it a part of the décor of every room in a household. The surface computer from Microsoft had already given inkling on what is in store and the immense possibilities of a customizable Windows Vista.

Under the surface of the 30-inch display in a table-sized form factor, Microsoft Surface is in fact running Windows Vista. The company is planning to make 10,000 Surface custom software platform powered by Windows Vista available in hotels, restaurants and casinos by the end of the year.

That brings us to the possibility of having similar customized versions of Microsoft Surface in a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and practically every room in the household. And think of the advertising benefits for Microsoft under its Live brand umbrella!
As of yet there is no official confirmation from Microsoft, but Surface is likely to be available in the household in future.
