Logitech Webcams to enable sharper videos

Logitech has struck an exclusive deal to feature Carl Zeiss lenses on a new line of high-resolution webcams for both desktops and laptops.

Whether it's for video conferencing or checking up on you college kids, webcams have never delivered the greatest images (although the college kids might be naturally fuzzy from the night before). Webcams are gonna be much better in terms of resolution if they choose to go the Logitech way.

Logitech has struck an exclusive deal with Carl Zeiss — yes, it’s the same German optics company known for its super high-quality camera lenses — to feature its lenses in a new line of high-resolution webcams. The 2.0 megapixel webcams are capable of capturing far clearer video than a typically grainy sub-1.0 megapixel webcam and will be available in stores soon for $99.
