Sony's new TVs are even for the visually challenged.

Sony has officially announced an ad campaign that explains how Bravias can be enjoyed by the blind.

The recent leaps in TV screen resolution have yet to include features for the visually impaired. Obviously so, it being an audio/visual medium. Thanks to advancement in technology, the visually impaired can now get a better feel of a television show with Audio Description (AD). During gaps in dialog, a voice explains the visual plot points if a TV is equipped with AD.

While most TVs need an additional decoder to listen to AD tracks, Sony Bravia TVs feature Integrated Digital Television (IDTV), that provides access to AD without needing a decoder.
