Google Mapplets: Can you picture that?

Google has added in Mapplets, which are like mini applications that can be embedded into the Google Maps site.

Losing our way and moving about directionless is a frustrating experience most of us remember going through at least once, until Google Maps came and empowered us geographically. Planning a trip or finding an address in town became less of a hassle.

Now, by adding Google Mapplets to the Google Maps site, the leading search engine has made navigation much easier. Mapplets are mini applications embedded into the Google Maps site, which give you detailed info, complete with photos and URLs, on various services. As of now, Google has standard Mapplets available for Real Estate Search, Photos, Gas Prices, Distance Measurement tool, Earth as Art, and Crop Circles.
