YouTubers cry foul as kid vidoes are suspended

Everything about kids is so appealing. That explains why films and TV series or ads featuring kids have always been instant hits. A video site like YouTube was just the right platform for featuring the endearing antics of those cute and naughty kids.

However, in a move that upset all those who adore watching the little ones, YouTube has been suspending accounts that feature videos with children in them, especially when the only person in the video is below 13 years of age. So far, at least three channels -- Jesari, YoungTubers and Galipoka -- have been suspended, without stating why.

Naturally, there has been an immediate reaction, with YouTube users responding with tribute and protest videos, including one entitled ‘Bring back Jesari and YoungTubers’ that gives a good explanation of what happened to those accounts.
 

Whatever it is, as long as the content was not exploitative and offensive and wasn’t hurting public sensibilities, YouTube should have let them be. Who wouldn’t find kids amusing?
