Microsoft puts a mouse inside the phone

Microsoft has filed a patent for a device incorporating a cellphone and trackpad based control for the PC via WiFi.

Cellphones will never cease inspiring people to innovate. They seem to be having the ability to integrate with just about anything. As if a radio, MP3 player, camera and organizer were not enough, now comes a new concept from Microsoft that enables a cellphone to also act as a control for you PC through WiFi.

In a recent patent application, Microsoft has devised a phone with keypad and screen on one side and a touchpad on the other.

The touchpad helps to move around on a display. Its mouse engine component detects a location and an interface component that integrates the mouse engine into a handheld communication device enables navigation.

However, Microsoft could have thought of a bigger display screen to make the navigating more effective.
