Kingston doubles the write speed of its flash cards

Kingston Technology announced its newest CompactFlash Ultimate Memory cards with twice the minimum write speed of its previous line.

Kingston Technology has introduced its latest compact flash cards into the market. Ultimate memory is not a misnomer for this little wonder considering it can hold up to 8 GB of data. According to Kingston Technology, the card has twice the write speed of its previous line, at 266X, which will allow digital SLR camera users to shoot without interruption.

The MediaRECOVER data recovery software, available as a download from Kingston's Web site, helps in restoring images files that get lost, deleted or corrupted.

The Ultimate Memory cards are available in 2GB ($83), 4GB ($144), and 8GB ($280) capacities.
