Question

My iPod Classic displays a red circle containing a red cross. What shouldm I do to fix it ?

Configuration: 120gb iPod Classic

History: It has been OK since new (5 months old). This display occurred 4 days ago and the iPod will no longer work

It's worth getting Apple to sort it - it should be under warranty.

That screen usually means a problem with the hard drive.

It is possible sometimes to sort it out (I did with mine but mine was out of warranty and didn't last long after I sorted it).
