I restored my ipod and started resyncing it about half way through it turned off and went back to the apple logo screen and won't do anything. When it turns itself off it clicks loud and if you are holding it you can feel the click. Also when it quit syncing the computer didn't recognize it anymore like it wasn't connected anymore. I have been working with it for a while and it keeps doing this. Configuration: Ipod 80 GB History: Been working fine |

Does it click just once or repeatedly? Only when turning it off or wihle it is on?
No way for me to know for sure...but a repeated clicking noise usually indicates a failed hard drive inside the iPod.
Assuming that is the case, then your only real option is to have the drive replaced. If it is under warranty, then no problem.
If it isn't, then you can try ebay, but you might be better off to just get a new one.
