Zolved - I came to this site for help with my ipod not being recognized on itunes. I tried solution number one and deleted my entire itunes library from both itunes and my ipod. I followed the instructions to the letter and now I'm totally frustrated and without all my music which has taken much time and money to collect. I doubt there's anyway to retrieve my library. There is a step in the instruction which asks you to delete your ipod and itunes folder, then goes on to say now empty your recycling bin. I did this with some doubt and now my stuff is gone. You also said your music won't be gone but you can back it up if you want. I figured since you said the music wouldn't be gone, I didn't really have to back it up. Stupid me!
