Question

my ipod was having probles so I restored it. I also downloaded the latest Itunes. now it syncs ALL music when I only want it to sync checked songs. also, it is playing podcasts in order like an album when I want it to let me manually select a podcast and have it stop when its over, letting me select another. is there a setting somewhere where I can change it back to where it was?

Configuration: ipod nano 3rd generation, latest itunes software

History: just restored ipod, just installed new itunes software

In order to disable entire library sync follow these instructions:

If you have iTunes 7 or

  1. Connect iPod or iPhone to your computer.
  2. Open iTunes.
  3. Select iPod or iPhone in the Devices list.
  4. Click the Summary tab and select "Manually manage music and videos."
  5. Click Apply.
  6. When manual management is enabled, you can still sync some content automatically. Select any content tab such as Video to enable automatic syncing for that type of content.
As for the Podcasts, I'm sorry but I have no experience in this area I will look into it for you.
