The screen either shows "do not disconnect" and does not show up in the list on itunes or it is asking me to restore in itunes but when I do it just goes back to telling me it detects an ipod in recovery mode and I must restore it. I have sometimes managed to eject it properly and then held down hold and select, got the apple screen for a few seconds, the the do not disconnect as soon as plugged back in. Help please, from ipod user Configuration: classic ipod 2 gb (is that a nano?) History: My son had it and may have done something to it - I suspect my new bedside clock radio alarm thing that lets you connect ipod but not when it is already on - he may have done so. The battery is showing fully charged.
