I can't connect to peers while downloading from p2p networks in my college. May be college firewall has blocked p2p port. How to get out of this. My college network uses dhcp server, dns server, proxy to connect. Configuration: all p2p softwares History: nothin |

might want to look into dark fiber or http tunneling

The problem could be your personal (norton, mcafee, etc) or router firewall is blocking the P2P port a/o because of the outrageous bandwidth that P2P applications utilizes - the college may being BLOCKing P2P ports (or programs) from running on their network.
Is anyone else on campus able to run the P2P application? Check with the college tech support folks to see if they block p2p ports/pgms.
