The SD card should still have your data on it. Might I suggest a couple of options:
(1) You could buy a little USB device into which you insert your SD card. That way, on your computer, you can access the data on your SD card just as if it were a compact disk or memory stick. Perhaps try Googling something like "pocket sd usb card reader". They are quite simple to use and normally come with pretty clear instructions.
(2) Ask your friends and family if anyone has a "card reader" built into their computer. Often they have several slots allowing them to take several different formats of memory card, including the SD card.

- Buy a USB memory stick with a similar or greater capacity than your SD card.
- Go over to their place and insert both the SD card & USB memory stick
- Each one will be assigned a different drive letter
- Use "My Computer" to copy the contents of the SD card to your USB memory stick
- Remove both the SD card & USB memory stick
- Now you can put the USB memory stick into your own computer to play with the data at your leisure
