When downloading video from my Canon Mini DV Camcorder to my computer, do I need any additional drivers?

Additional drivers are not required from Canon to download video from a Canon camcorder through a Firewire connection*.

* For camcorders that are capable of downloading video through a USB 2.0 High Speed connection, a working USB 2.0 High Speed port and Windows Movie Maker 2 is required.
