I get 'Installation not supported (c00093760)' error message during intallation of HP Photosmart All-in-one printer on Windows 5.0, 5.1 or 5.3

The " Installation not supported" error message occurs when installing a version of the all-in-one software that is not compatible with the version of Windows installed on the computer. This will occur if the version of Windows that is installed on your computer did not exist at the time the all-in-one was manufactured.
Remove the all-in-one software CD-ROM and examine it. The label of all-in-one CD-ROM will list the Windows versions that the software supports. If the version of Windows on your computer is not listed, it is not supported.
In most cases you can either download a new version of the software or order a new software CD-ROM that supports your Windows version from the driver download support section for your model. To locate the new drivers, visit the HP Support and Drivers search page.
To determine what version of Windows is on your computer, follow the steps below:

Click Start, and then click Run.

Type the following into the Open line: winver

Click OK. The Windows version will be shown as well as any installed Windows service packs.
