. What is a subscription plan?
A subscription plan includes a collection of music combined with the things you can do with it, such as listening to music on-demand, listening to Internet radio, or burning CDs. RHAPSODY offers 2 subscription plans: All Access and Radio PLUS. All Access is our most complete subscription plan and offers access to everything we've got for just $9.95 per month. When you are subscribed to All Access you also get the ability to burn CDs for an additional fee per track, on a pay-as-you-go basis. Radio PLUS is the Internet's best radio for only $4.95 per month.

What are coupons, free trials, and previews?
These are 3 great ways to get a jump-start on using RHAPSODY.

Coupons: A coupon is a unique code that gives you a discount on your RHAPSODY subscription. If you have been given a coupon code, just enter it when prompted during the subscription process. Remember coupons do expire and after your discounted period ends RHAPSODY All Access is just $9.95 per month and RHAPSODY Radio PLUS is just $4.95 per month.

Free Trials: The RHAPSODY Free Trial is a way to test-drive one of our subscription plans risk free. By providing us with your credit card info, you can unlock the plan of your choice for FREE. Cancel anytime before the end of the trial period and you don't pay a dime.

Previews: RHAPSODY Preview is a sneak peek of what RHAPSODY is all about. You don't need to provide any credit card information to check it out, but you will only get access to a handful of radio stations at 20kbps and only 30-second preview clips from our thousands of albums of on-demand content. We recommend the RHAPSODY Preview ONLY if you aren't ready to use your credit card.

    4. Do I have to pay for RHAPSODY?
Yes. RHAPSODY is a subscription service that pays musicians, record labels, publishers, and songwriters for the music you listen to and bundles these costs as a flat monthly fee of $9.95 for "All Access" or $4.95 for "Radio Plus". You can download and install RHAPSODY without paying, but you will only get access to a limited number of radio stations and 30-second preview clips. You can also secure a risk-free trial by providing your credit card information. You will only be billed if you decide to continue with RHAPSODY after the free trial has expired.

    5. Do I need a credit card to use RHAPSODY?
Yes. RHAPSODY is a subscription service and you will need a valid credit card to unlock a free trial or subscribe. By providing some basic credit card information, you can start a free trial that will give you immediate access to the RHAPSODY experience just as if you were a paying customer. If you decide it's not for you, just cancel before the end of the trial period and you don't pay a dime. If you are interested in RHAPSODY, and want to know what it is really like, we recommend you take the trial.

You can also have a look at RHAPSODY without providing any credit card information, but you will only get access to a limited number of radio stations at 20kbps and 30-second preview clips of our on-demand library. This limited option is known as "RHAPSODY Preview."

Yes. When you are subscribed to the RHAPSODY All Access subscription plan at $9.95 per month, you get unlimited listening to all the music in RHAPSODY's library plus the ability to burn tracks for an additional fee per track, on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Music you can burn to CD is marked with a red "burn icon" throughout the service. Tracks that don't have a burn icon next to them aren't available for CD burning yet. However, we are clearing rights and enabling new music for burning every day, so check back often!

    8. Do I have to be subscribed to the All Access subscription plan to burn CDs?
Yes. Only subscribers to the RHAPSODY All Access subscription plan at $9.95 per month, will get the ability to burn tracks for an additional fee per track, on a pay-as-you-go basis.

    9. Can I get downloads in RHAPSODY?
No. RHAPSODY is an on-demand streaming service. This means you don't have to wait for downloads to listen to CD-quality music. Once you've used it for a while, you may never want to download a music file again. If you want to take your music with you, we offer CD burning for an additional fee per track, when you are subscribed to the All Access subscription plan at $9.95 per month.

If you're looking for portability beyond the CD player, stay tuned, because we are working on bringing RHAPSODY to wireless and net-attached consumer electronic devices in the near future.

    10. What are 30-second preview clips?
30-second preview clips are 30-second samples of all of the tracks in our on-demand music collection. After registering for RHAPSODY, if you have not subscribed, you can use the clips as a simple way to size-up the service.

All you need to do to get the full experience is click on any of the orange Subscribe Now buttons and select All Access from the subscription plans offered. That will turn all those 30-second preview clips into full-length tracks.

For the highest quality performance, RHAPSODY requires the following:

    12. Do I need a broadband Internet connection?
Yes, we recommend using a broadband connection with RHAPSODY to get a CD-quality listening experience without interruptions. Dial-up members can use our service and listen to on-demand tracks and radio at 20kbps, but may experience listening interruptions due to Internet congestion and the limits of lower speeds with narrowband connections.
