are:You may need to re-configure your firewall settings to allow Comcast Video Mail to launch and run. Some firewalls will pop up messages telling you that a program is trying to access the internet. This may come with a choice to Block, Permit, Manually Configure, or Always use this Action.
These messages will generally happen when Comcast Video Mail authenticates at various times during use. Consequently the message will be asking to allow one of the following applications:
- Update.exe (checks for updates)
- Vibeupdt.exe (checks for updates)
- Comcast_Video_Mail.exe (runs the application)
- Video_Mail_Send.exe (sends the video mail)
The ports that Comcast Video Mail uses during the authentication steps and while in use are: 8443, 8080 and 80.
If your firewall requires advanced configuration, you should contact the firewall vendor directly for assistance. Some common firewall vendors
