Content
The following items need to be completed when transferring CHSI service from one computer to another:
- If there is email, favorites, or an address book on the computer, this information should be backed up so that it can be copied to a different computer. Refer to How to: Back Up My Outlook Express Email User Information.
- If the computer that will receive CHSI service does not have a 10Base-T compatible network adapter, the adapter needs to be removed from the current computer and installed on the new computer, or a new 10Base-T compatible Ethernet card purchased and installed on the new computer.
Note: Cox cannot offer any advice on how to physically remove / install an adapter card. This operation should be performed by someone familiar with computer hardware and the safeguards involved.
