Steps to take to add an email account to Outlook 2000. Note: Before completing the below steps you will need to create an email address and password. An email address can be created in Internet Tools. >>Learn how to create an Email address

1. Open Outlook 2000.
2. Click Tools at the top of the window.
3. Click Services.
4. Click Add.
5. Select Internet Email from the list of options. Click OK.
6. The Mail Properties window will open.
7. On the General tab enter a name for the Mail Account in the first blank box.
8. Under User Information type your name in the Name field and type your email address in the E-mail address field.
9. Click the Servers tab.
10. Enter the Incoming and Outgoing mail servers. Click Here to find your server.
11. Type in your Account name and Password.
12. Click the Connection tab.
13. Choose to Connect using my local area network (LAN) and click OK.
14. A window will open and tell you to restart the program for the changes to take effect. Click OK.
15. Click OK again and then close Outlook 2000 and open it back up.
