Setting up BellSouth email account Using Apple Mail.

• Click Mail.
• Click About Mail.

1. Open Apple Mail.





2. From the Mail menu, click Preferences.





3. At the bottom left-hand corner of the window, click on the (+) symbol, circled in red below.





4. Select the Account Information tab.
5. Click the Account Type drop-down menu.
6. Select POP.
   
   
   
   
7. In the Description field, type in FastAccess DSL.
8. In the Email Address field, type in your full BellSouth e-mail address.
9. In the Full Name field, type in your first and last name.
10. In the Incoming Mail Server field, type mail.bellsouth.net.
11. In the User Name field, type your username without using the @bellsouth.net at the end.
12. In the Password field, type in your password.
13. In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) drop-down, select Add Server.






the SMTP Server Options window displays.

14. In the Outgoing Mail Server field, type mail.bellsouth.net.
15. Select None from the Authentication pop-up menu.
16. Click the OK button.





17. Close the Mail Preferences window by clicking the red dot (pictured below).





18. Click the Save button.
