After you have tried powering down and restarting your DSL modem, computer and any other networking devices, you can check the status of your connection by looking at the modem icons that appear in your computer’s system tray.

Indicates that the modem has an active connection. The lights will blink when the modem is transmitting.

  • The modem will show "Connected"(Green light) if installation and DSL signals are properly working.
  • If modem status is "Connecting" wait about 20 seconds for training to complete which should result in "Connected" status.

Indicates that the modem is not connected or configured properly. Right-clicking on the taskbar icon provides a menu of detailed status and online help.

  • If modem status is "Disconnected" then DSL physical connection is not detected which is most likely a wiring issue. You should check your modem set up.
  • If modem status is "Driver Not Loaded" most likely an installation problem has occurred. Review the installation guide to see if you need to re-install the modem software.
