AT&T Yahoo! ISP: Connecting broadband modem to a 2Wire Gateway.
How do I connect my broadband modem to a 2Wire Gateway on AT&T Yahoo! ISP?
No Summary
Most 2Wire Gateways AT&T provides contain a DSL modem and do not need to use an external modem. Check the bottom of the Gateway to determine your model number. The Gateway 1000, 1000S, 1100, 1000W, 1000SW and 1000HW all already have an internal modem. For these models, connect the data cable from the DSL phone jack to the port labeled Phone Line on the back of the Gateway.
The Gateway 100, 100S, 100W, 100SW, 165 and 180SW models do not contain an internal DSL modem. For these models, simply connect an Ethernet cable from your broadband (xDSL modem or cable) modem’s Ethernet port to the Broadband Modem port on the back of your Gateway.
Note: When you install your Gateway, you should uninstall any PPPoE software from your computer. The Gateway has PPPoE built in. Running PPPoE from your computer can cause a temporary Gateway broadband connection failure
