How To Set Up Internet Access Control for BellSouth Parental Controls Plus
Instructions on setting up Internet Access Control for Parental Controls Plus
- Set a schedule for each computer connected to the HomePortal to restrict web browsing, Instant messaging, and/or all other applications requiring a connection to the Internet.
- Control when and for how long a person can access the Internet.
- Limit Internet access by time of day and day of the week.
To set up Internet Access Control, do the following:
- Type http://www.homeportal in your browser's Address field.
- On the Home page, click Set Up Now.

- On the Set Up Internet Access Control Introduction page, click Next.

- On the View Internet Access Restriction Schedule page, select a computer user's name to update from the Select a Computer dropdown list.

- Click Edit Settings.
- On the Edit Internet Access Control Settings page, click the Enable check box.

NOTE: When additional selections are not made in the Select Allowed Applications and Times fields, checking Enable blocks all Internet access for the computer.
- To enable Applications and Times, click the Allow checkbox for the application category that you wish to enable.
For example, to allow web browsing all day, every day, click the blue Allow checkbox in the Allow Web Browsing field. - Click Done.
