Why can't I transfer songs to my iRiver iFP device?

This document applies to:

- Rhapsody 3.x and 4.0
- RealPlayer 10 and 10.5

If you do not have the iRiver DRM patch installed, when you transfer songs to your iRiver iFP device, you may receive one of these errors:

- Unable to add clips. Format: RAX Reason: not supported by device.
- Unable to add clips for the RAX file, Reason: Unsupported media type.

To resolve this issue, install the iRiver DRM patch from the iRiver iFP Series Support page.

Also, make sure that your particular iRiver device is compatible with RealPlayer or Rhapsody 3.x, or Rhapsody 4.0.
