How to install AOL ISP software on my computer?

If you do not have an AOL® CD, you can usually get one from any United States Post Office® or one of several retail partnership locations. Go to AOL® Keyword: Upgrade, then click the Pick Up a CD Near You link for a complete list of retailers near you.

If you have a broadband connection you can go to www.aol.com to download the AOL software.

To install the AOL software as a new member:
1. Insert the AOL CD into your computer's CD-Rom drive.
2. When the installation window opens click the New Member button. This first screen will take a few seconds to appear.
3. Click the Next button.
4. The AOL software will install. After it is completely installed, follow the on-screen instructions to setup your AOL® account.

To install the AOL software as a current member:
1. Insert the AOL CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
2. When the installation window opens click the Current Member button. This first screen will take a few seconds to appear.
3. Click the Adding your existing AOL account to this computer option, then click the Next button.
4. Click the Next button, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

To upgrade the AOL software to a newer version:
1. Insert the AOL CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
2. When the installation window opens, click the Current Member button. This first screen will take a few seconds to appear.
3. Click the Upgrading to a new version of AOL on this computer option, then click the Next button.
4. Click the Next button.
5. Click the Next button.
6. The AOL software will install.

Note: You can also upgrade your existing AOL software by signing on to AOL and going to AOL Keyword: Upgrade.
