Cannot Run an Auto Fix

A damaged AOL® Coach may cause difficulties running AOL Auto Fixes. Deleting and reinstalling this program should resolve your issue.

AOL Coach is a behind-the-scenes program that runs the AOL Auto Fixes. With some versions of AOL software, it is only installed if an AOL Auto Fix is run on the computer. With other versions, it is installed automatically.

To remove and reinstall AOL Coach:
1. Open the Windows® Control Panel:

  • If using Windows XP, click the Start button, then click Control Panel.
  • If using Windows 98, Windows Me, or Windows 2000, click the Start button, click Settings, then click Control Panel.

2. Click the Add or Remove Programs or Add/Remove Programs button.
3. In the programs list, select the latest version of AOL Coach Version (1.0 or 2.0), then click the Add/Remove... or Change/Remove button.
4. Restart your computer, then sign on to the AOL® service again.
5. Try to run the Auto Fix. The AOL Coach will download again and the Auto Fix should work properly.
