How to Configure Windows XP for DHCP?

Follow the steps given in this article to configure DHCP in Windows XP.



1. Click the Start button, click Connect To, and choose Show all connections.






2. Click the Local Area Connection icon with your right mouse button, then choose Properties.






3. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the list.

4. Click the Properties button.




5. Select Obtain an IP address automatically.

6. Select Obtain DNS server address automatically.

7. Click the OK button.




8. Click the OK button.
