Creating a Static IP Internet Connection for Sony PlayStation 2 (EarthLink DSL)

  1. Insert the Network Adaptor Start-Up Disc into the PlayStation 2.

  2. Using the control pad, select ISP Setup.
  3. Press the X button on the control pad.

  4. Take a moment to read the End User License Agreement.
  5. Select Agree if you agree to the terms.
  6. Press the X button on the control pad.

  7. Select New Network Setting.
  8. Press the X button on the control pad.

  9. Select I Have an ISP.
  10. Press the X button on the control pad.

  11. Select Advanced Setup.
  12. Press the X button on the control pad.

  13. In the IP address field, type your IP address.
  14. In the netmask field, type your subnet mask.
  15. In the default router field, type your default gateway.
  16. Select Continue.
  17. Press the X button on the control pad.

  18. In the primary DNS field, type your primary DNS address.
  19. In the seconday DNS field, type your secondary DNS address.
  20. Select Continue.
  21. Press the X button.

  22. The PS2 will now test your connection. Once the test is complete, select Continue.
  23. Press the X button on the control pad.

  24. In the Network Setting Name field, type a name to refer to this connection.
  25. Select Save.
  26. Press the X button on the control pad.
