Can I access my email client even when travelling?
Yes. It's only a matter of finding web access from the nearest point and you are all set to check your emails!

Gone are the days when you had depended on ‘snail mail’ to correspond with your friends and relatives and had got so used to the convenience of an email. The fact that it was all done within a matter of minutes, in whichever part of the world you were, made it all the more incredible and indispensable.
Now that you are planning to be away from home for a while, don’t worry about being suddenly feel cut off from your relatives and friends. It’s very much possible to you’re your email connectivity while 'on the road' and here are the tips.
Finding Web Access:
If you can't do without Internet connectivity, don't forget to carry a notepad and modem when you are traveling.
- Look out for cyber-cafes, web terminals, libraries, friends with internet connections etc.
- Computer/internet company showrooms also can allow you a few minutes of Internet connectivity.
►Note: Don't assume you'll be allowed to use a system, but explain your needs carefully and thank them even if they can't help you.

Most Internet Service Providers provide you with a roaming service at a cost, allowing you to connect through the local telephone lines in whichever country you may be. The other choice is to make a long distance call and connect through that.
Troubleshooting roaming:
- Enter correct telephone number to be dialed.
- Change the country setting of your modem.
- Change your location status in you dialer.
If you have an email account through an ISP or had signed up for a free POP mail account, you can easily access your mailbox from any web browser using a web-based POP mail interface such as Mail2Web.
- Write down the email server name, user name and your mailbox password.
- Test the retrieval system from home as it’s much easier to troubleshoot problems before you set out!
Occasionally, your email server will be different from the ending of your email address - check with your Internet Service Provider or free POP mail provider if you are not sure. Your mailbox password is whatever you specified when you first set up your email address.
If you want to be able to read the messages in your email mailbox when you get home from your trip, choose to leave them on the server.
If you don't need to keep the messages, make sure you select the Delete from Server option so that you don't end up with hundreds of old messages upon your return.
Sign up for an IMAP mail account:
IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) mail services offer flexibility while traveling, since they essentially replicate the content of your home mailbox at a remote location. With an IMAP service, you can log into your mailbox using any computer and find the same messages you last saw on your home machine!
Sign up for a free web-based email account:
Web-based email accounts are perfect for travelers, since you can log into your account using any web browser.
Often, web-based email services will allow you to automatically "pull" the email from one or more existing accounts into their interface.
Mail forwarding:
Once you have this new email, all you have to do is start mail forwarding from your ISP (normal email address) to your new email address. So that whenever you receive an email to your normal address, it will be saved there and also sent on to your other new email address.
However, if you have any problems then just call your ISP helpline and they will be able to help.
The advantage of doing this is enormous. If you can't log on to your own account, then at least you can use somebody else's computer, such as the business center and just go to www.yahoo.com or your wherever your new email address web page is, in order to receive all your own email.
