Connect to power source, then reset.

Oops, you may be outta juice.Try a "charging reset." 

• Connect the iPod to your computer (or better yet, a wall charger).
  
• Let it charge for a while (you may not see the battery icon, but it could still be charging anyway).
  
  
• With the iPod connected, now try the reset.
  
  1. Toggle the Hold switch to on, then back to off (none of the red is showing).
     
  2. Press and hold down the Menu and Select buttons for 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.
