Load songs into iPod

Connect your iPod for the first time and transfer the songs.

Phew! Finally let get those tunes on iPod and get out there!!

Connect your iPod to your computer.
- Make sure it is a USB 2.0 port.
- Don't use a USB hub at this time.
The iPod setup wizard will give you some choices
- Name your iPod.
- Select the automatic update (definitely change this later though).

It will take a while for the update/upload to finish. When it is done, eject the iPod through iTunes. When you see the "OK to disconnect" screen on the iPod, go ahead and unplug it. Now you're ready to rock steady. But before you take off, read the next to sections on the best way to use your iPod.
