Your Name : make sure your name is entered.
E-mail Address : make sure the e-mail address provided by your Internet Service Provider is entered.
User Name : make sure your ISP user name has been entered (which is the part before @xpress.net in your e-mail address).
Password : re-type your password to ensure it's entered correctly.

- This will take you to the General tab. Ensure that the Mail Account is a descriptive name for your ISP email account.
- Select the Outgoing Server tab at the top.

- Make sure that My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is not checked off. The only time you need to have your outgoing email authenticated is when you need to use Outlook 2003 from a remote location, such as a hotel, internet cafe, or airport.
- Select the Connection tab at the top to continue.

- On the Connection tab, make sure that Connect using my local area connection (LAN) is selected.
- Click the Advanced tab at the top.

- On the Advanced tab, make sure that your Incoming server (POP3) and your Outgoing server (SMTP) are set to the numbers corresponding to your Internet Service Provider. Here, we have taken the numbers of Comcast as an example.
- Click OK to return to the main Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window.

- At this point, you can test your settings by clicking the Test Account Settings... button.

- If everything is configured properly, each of the tests will have a green check mark next to them.
If any of the tests fail, go back and make sure that each setting is configured correctly.
- Click Close.

- After you close the Test Account Settings... window, click Next and then Finish.

- You will now be able to send and receive your email using Outlook 2003.
