What to do if Playstation 3 is 'frozen'.

How do I restart Playstation 3 after screen is frozen or the system does not operate ?

Tackling a Playstation 3 that fails to operate.

If the screen is frozen or the system does not operate follow the steps given in this section.

Restart the system. Touching the power button on the system front for 10 seconds or longer will force the system to shut down. After shutdown, turn on the system again.

    what if the entire system will not go any further than the "sony entertainment" intro screen... the one that shows when u start your system... it will not go any further.. its not moving.. i've tried restarting it, i've tried unplugging it while on.. leaving it on for the night.. it wont go any further than the wave screen... any help would be greatly appreciated, its a 40gb system.. any help..?
