How to connect the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

This article explains how to connect the wireless controller to an Xbox 360 console

Before you connect your Xbox 360 wireless controller to your console, ensure that you have inserted batteries in it.

You haven't yet done that? No probs. Here's how you do it:

Carefully pull out the AA battery pack from the rear of the wireless controller.
Insert two new AA sized batteries (Make sure the battery's (+) and (-) ends are properly matched and inserted).
Slide the battery pack back into the controller.

Now, to make the wireless connection:

Press and hold the Start/Guide button until the controller switches on.
Press the power on button on your console to turn it on
On the console, press and release the connect button.
Press and release the connect button which is on the top-end side of the controller.
One quadrant of the ring of lights on both the console and the controller would be lit stating connected. (the quadrant light indicates the position and the connection status of the controller)

Note: To disconnect the wireless controller, just press and hold the start/guide button for 5 seconds.
