Connecting the Wii console to a TV or VCR

You are supplied with an AV Multi Out plug with the Wii console. This cable allows you to connect to a TV/VCR/Cable Box/DVD player etc.






  Here's how you connect your Wii console to a:
  1. Television
  2. VCR, DVD etc.,
Connecting your Wii console to a TV:

  1. Connect the AV Multi out plug end to the AV cable socket on the rear side of the console.
  2. Connect RCA cable jacks onto the TV connectors by matching the colors on the jack and TV.


  3. Ensure you connect the Jacks on TV Input connectors but not on Output or "Out" jack.
  4. You would find the following colors:
    • Yellow = Video Input.
    • White = Left Audio Input.
    • Red = Right Audio Input.

  5. Switch on the Wii Console.
  6. Switch your TV on and select the Video button. If you have more than one Input channel, then press the Video button till you see the display screen of the Wii.

Connecting your Wii console to a DVD-R, VCD etc.:

Most of the devices like DVD-R, VCD players have audio and video input jacks. If your device has only an output jack, you will not be able to connect your Wii console.


  1. Connect the AV Multi out plug end to the AV cable socket on the rear side of the console.
  2. Connect RCA cable jacks onto the TV connectors by matching the colors on the jack and TV.



  3. Ensure you connect the Jacks on TV Input connectors but not on Output or "Out" jack.
  4. You would find the following colors:

    • Yellow = Video Input.
    • White = Left Audio Input.
    • Red = Right Audio Input.

  5. Select the input that matches the input channel from your VCR.
You are good to go!
