changing the looks and colors on firefox browser tabs

The article helps you change the look and feel of your Firefox browser

Are you bored and tired of looking at the same color and interface on your Firefox browser? This article is for you!

With add-ons and extensions you can change the looks of your browser and it is very simple to do it.  Follow the steps below:

Important Note: If you have other browsers like IE or Netscape etc., installed in your computer, use those browsers to view this article as you need to close and restart Mozilla Firefox browser a couple of times for it to refresh the colors and settings.

The following steps will work only if you have the latest version of Firefox (2.0).  If you have older version (1.0 or 1.5), Click here to download and upgrade your browser to the latest version.

To add multi-colors to the tabs:
  1. Open Mozilla Firefox browser.
  2. Using your Firefox browser, browse this site: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1368/.

  3. Click on the download file and the browser would ask you to install the file.

  4. Click on Install.

  5. Close and restart the browser.


You are done!

To change the color and look of the whole browser:
  1. Open Mozilla Firefox browser.
  2. From your tool bar, click Tools -> Add-ons.

  3. Add-on dialog box would appear.
  4. Click on Themes and click Get Themes link.

  5. This would take you to mozilla website.
  6. Browse to the style you want and click on download.

  7. A dialog box will appear asking you to install the file.
  8. Click on Install.

  9. Go back to Tools -> Add-ons.

  10. Click Themes and select the theme you installed and click Use Theme.

  11. Close the dialog box.
  12. Close and restart the browser.


Now, wasn't that easy?


If you didn't like or want to get back to the defaults:
  1. Open the Firefox browser.
  2. Just click on Tools -> Add-ons.
  3. Click on Disable or Uninstall the extension or theme you downloaded.


Note: You need to close and restart the browser once you do this.
