- Enter user name (default is admin) & password (default is admin), click wireless tab.
- Select a different wireless channel from the drop down box.
- If the above does not fix your issue, make sure that the WEP encryption has to be set on Key 1 in order for the Wii to recognize it.
- Another solution is to manually enter the IP address of DNS that your wireless router uses.

- For documentation purposes, I thought I would sahre with the intrnet commnity the issue that appears to cause the Nintendo Wii console error 220602 when trying to read the User Agreements. Most home internet routers are configured to be the DHCP server for all computers within the home. Both wired and wireless computers. This means that when a PC or Nintendo Wii console wishes to obtain IP address information so that it can function on the internet, it puts out a request on the internal home network asking for a device to give it this information. So the router is configured to respond with that information. However, when the router first boots up, it does the same thing and requests IP information from the Internet Provider. The Internet providers DHCP server responds and delegates an IP address and sends DNS server IP addresses to the router. In almost every case, the DNS server IP addresses that the router receives during bootup are legal IP addresses. Some home based routers wil send their own internal IP address to the Nintendo Wii as the DNS server and it will proxy DNS requests to the Internet Providers DNS servers. This is what the Nintendo Wii does not like. The home based router needs to be configured to re-delegate the DNS servers that it received from the Internet Provider instead of replying to the Nintendo with it;s own IP address as the DNS server. If your home based router cannot be changed, then simply use the manul setup within the Wii options and make sure you use the DNS servers of the Internet Provider that you are connected to. This is what I did and after making that simple change, all worked well. Hope this helps everyone. By the way, I am the technical director for an internet company that has been around for almost 15 years, so I know DHCP and DNS very well.
