Why does my Wii system keep shutting down?

Well, if you are confronted with the frustrating problem of your wii system shutting down frequently, this article has the right solution.

If your wii system keeps shutting down, it must be real frustrating. The following steps will help you resolving the issue incase you face this problem, frequently:-

1. First of all please make sure wii has good ventilation. Do not use wii when it’s on carpeting or inside an enclosed space. If the wii is placed on the vertical position, make sure the vent on the bottom is lined up properly with the hole in the plastic stand and no other object is obstructing the hole

2. Please make sure that the vents on the back and side of the wii for dust build up. The system might shut down if it cannot vent properly to prevent overheating.

3. Check that your wall outlet is working fine. You can check, if it’s working or not by plugging in a lamp into the same outlet.

4. Also confirm that the AC adapter is attached properly. Firmly plug the AC adapter into the back of the wii(labeled 12V IN) and into a working wall outlet. Once it is plugged in please check the power button to see if the system is receiving power.

Moreover we also need to check few basic things before we start. The word "wii" and the model number "RVL-002 (USA)” should be molded into the AC Adapter and lets not any unlicensed product which might affect your system adversely
