How do I Setup the PlayStation 2 for Cox HSI?

To setup your PlayStation2 for Cox HSI, first insure you have all the proper equipment, which includes a network adapter for your PlayStation2, a memory card, and a Cox HSI account. Click the link below for step by step method to setup Playstation 2:

Step 1:    To setup your PlayStation2 for Cox HSI, first insure you have all the proper equipment, which includes a network adapter for your PlayStation2, a memory card, and a Cox HSI account.

Step 2:    Power up your PlayStation2 with the Network Setup CD. Once the main screen comes up, select the ISP Setup option and click the X Button on your PlayStation2 controller.

Step 3:    Press the X Button to start the setup process.

              The next screen should tell you it found your network adapter. If not, check your network adapter installation.

Step 4:    Click the X Button to continue.

Step 5:    You can either edit an existing ISP setting here, or create a new one. For this HOW-TO we are going to create a new one.

Step 6:    Select New and press the X Button to continue.

Step 7:    Using the on-screen keyboard and your PlayStation2 controller, type in a name for this ISP setting, like Cox-Internet.

Step 8:    Then press ENTER on the keyboard to continue.

Step 9:    Select YES on this screen and press the X Button to continue.

Step 10:    Select High Speed Connection (Cable or DSL) and press the X Button to continue.

Step 11:    Select Automatic Settings, then press the X Button to continue.

Step 12:    Select NO and press the X Button to continue.

Step 13:    The network connection will now be tested.
Step 14:    If everything is ok, it should now tell you that you are connected for online gaming. If you get any errors, double check your installation and setup.

Step 15:    Press the X Button to save your settings.

Step 16:    Your PlayStation2 is now setup for Cox HSI.

Step 17:    Press the X Button to finish.
