Can I verify the Email settings in Windows Mail (Vista)?
you can check your email settings on your Windows Email client. Follow the steps as shown in this article.
To check your email settings and configuration, please do the following:

- From your task pane, click Start -> All Programs -> Windows Mail.

- From the menu options, click Tools -> Accounts.

- Click on the email account that you need to verify and select Properties.

- Click Servers tab.
- Verify the server information, ensure that it matches with the information provided by your service provider:
- Incoming mail (POP3): mail.example.net.
- Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp.example.net.
