My iTunes won't open and says unknown error occurred (0x666D743F).
iTunes throws the message: The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (0x666D743F).
From the Start menu, open Control Panel and double click Quicktime (you may need to "Switch to Classic View"). In the Quicktime popup, select the Audio tab and un-check the Safe mode (waveOut only) box. Click Apply. Now open iTunes. Once iTunes is open, you should be able to use the safe mode again (if you need that setting for another software).
If that didn't work, open Sounds and Audio Devices (also through Control Panel), select the Volume tab. Under Speaker Settings, click the Advanced button. Change the Speaker Setup to Stereo Headphones. Click the OKs and open iTunes.
