Save your iPod Screens-Set Screensavers

This article explains four simple steps to set screen savers for your 5th generation video iPods

My friend told me the other day that the screen savers are just not to make your screen look beautiful, it actually prevent your screen from getting pixel burnouts. That was great to know but that’s when I was started wondering that I have a lovely Video iPod and the same thing can happen to my iPod. I was shocked thinking about it. I asked my good old friend Pete (my tech savior) about it. As always this genius friend of mine had a ready answer for it. To my surprise, he said that we could set screen savers on our iPod too and in 3 minutes he did it to my iPod.

Let me tell you the 4 simple steps to set a screen saver in your Video iPod. This works on only 5th generation iPods and you need to have the most recent filmware.

  • First of all we need to create a Demo Mode on the iPod
  • Now lets go to iTunes and rename any video file as Demo
  • Now just leave the iPod for sometime
  • In 2 minutes the Video we renamed as Demo, will play automatically and will repeat.

So you get your screensaver with these 4 simple steps and you know now, your iPod screens are safe.
