I need to Backup and Restore files on Vista to save data!
Quickly recover from disasters by backing up and restoring your files on Vista by following the steps as given in this article.
1. Backing up the files:
This is a process you run on Vista to ensure that you don't loose any files that you have created, modified or stored on your computer. You can manually backup or setup automatic backup.
Note: You cannot setup automatic backup on Windows Vista starter pack and Windows Vista Home Basic.
To open Backup and Restore Center:
Note: It is good to always store the backups in external hard drives, CDs or DVDs (in case your computer is damaged or stolen). To prevent unauthorized access, encrypt the backup files.
2. Restoring the Back up files:
Follow the steps below to restore files that were lost or corrupted. You can specifically restore just a set of files or you can restore all the files.
