Any tricks to speed up Vista Upgrade?

There are 4 simple steps to speed up the Vista upgrade process.

Its tough to blame Vista for the long hours, which it takes to upgrade from XP to Vista. It's justified considering that XP being fully loaded and the volume of information to be transformed from XP to Vista. But the best we can do is to follow some tricks, which will make the upgrade faster.

1. Let's remove all the unwanted hardware: -
when you are upgrading make sure that your computer is not connected to any other external hardware like an extra mouse or an iPod. Remove all these extra hardware, as Vista will keep searching for updated drivers.

2. Let's uninstall old programs: - Just before you upgrade, relax and go through all your programs once again. You might find some programs, which are installed, in your computer but you have not touched it since ages. Lets remove all those.

3. Let's uninstall software for old hardware: - If you have some software for an old scanner or camcorder installed but not used for quite a long time now, it is better you uninstall it before you upgrade. After all you might have to update the drivers after the transition.

4. Let's defrag the hard Drive: - A defragged hard drive is way better for installing Vista. As we will be copying so much data we absolutely need a computer with a defragged hard drive. Once you are done with the above steps mentioned, just go ahead and defrag your hard drive. Trust me, it will save a lot of time.

The upgrade will be simpler and a lot more faster with these simple 4 steps.
