How to Add photos to your Apple TV
This article explains the ways you can add photos to your Apple TV
You can sync photos to Apple TV from any folder that’s in your hard disk including iPhoto. You can import digital photos to your computer and sync them to Apple TV. You can also view photos individually or as a photo slide-show.
There are two ways to add photos:-
Follow the following steps to sync photos from a Mac or Windows PC to Apple TV using photo applications:
Follow the following steps to sync photos from a folder on your hard disk to Apple TV:
Now in case you want to delete any photos from Apple TV, follow the steps below: -
That will delete the photos from your album.
Now lets discuss how to import photos to your computer.
Lets see if you are using Mac
There are two ways to add photos:-
- Syncing Photos to Apple TV
- Importing Photos to your computer
Follow the following steps to sync photos from a Mac or Windows PC to Apple TV using photo applications:
- Go to iTunes and select Apple TV icon from the device list
- Now click on Photos tab.
- Select ‘Sync photos from:..’
- If you are using Mac, you need to choose from iPhoto or Aperture
- And if you are using a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements.
- Now if you want to sync all your photos, select "All photos and albums."
- If you want to sync photos from only some albums or collections, select "Selected albums" and select the albums or collections you want.
- Click on Apply.
Follow the following steps to sync photos from a folder on your hard disk to Apple TV:
- First of all drag the images you want into a folder on your computer. You can also create a separate folder and drag the images into the new folder.
- Open iTunes, select the Apple TV icon on the Device list.
- Choose "Sync photos from: ..."
- Select "Choose Folder" from the pop-up menu and select your image folder.
- Now click on Apply.
Now in case you want to delete any photos from Apple TV, follow the steps below: -
- In iTunes, select Apple TV in device list and click the photos Tab.
- Select “Sync Photos from:…”
- If you are using a mac computer, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
- And if you are using Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
- Now you choose “selected albums” and de-select the collections you want to delete.
- Click on Apply.
That will delete the photos from your album.
Now lets discuss how to import photos to your computer.
Lets see if you are using Mac
- Connect the camera or photo card reader to your computer.
- iPhoto will open up. Well if it does not open automatically open it manually.
- Click on import. Images are imported into iPhoto.
- Connect the camera or photo card reader to your computer.
- Open image capture. It should open automatically otherwise do it manually.
- If you want to download all, just click on download all. If you want to download just few select the ones you want to download.
